Blessing

A Blessing, what is it?
Simple enough question you might say, but what is the answer.
Some might say when my parents say that they were happy with the choice of my spouse, that was a blessing.
Others might say, the discount at the store was a blessing.
Or they might say, you are a blessing.
They might even think that pastor Chris's teachings are a blessing, however, that in my opinion might be a little far-fetched.
Websters' Dictionary tells us that a blessing is the act or words of one that blesses.
A blessing is a thing conducive to happiness or welfare.
And Yes indeed the grace said at meals.
What do our Jewish brothers and sisters say about a blessing?
To get an understanding of this we need to look at the book of numbers, especially the second part of this which is called the Parashat Naso.
This is the Torah's most challenging passage and at the same time also one of the most beautiful ones.
The blessing of the Priest in Numbers 6:22-27 is one of the most ancient texts of the Torah and is one of the oldest known texts currently still in use.
So let us look at this text more closely before we are going to have a look at other blessings in the bible, but especially before we will bless our spouses and our children.
This is the most important part of today's message, the understanding of the blessing and the why of being blessed AND blessing one and another.
There has been much discussion and questions on just the opening sentence of the text of this priestly blessing. One that is been in use for many generations and spoken over congregations all over the world.
The discussion is focused on the power to bless people, and the question, of this, is a correct interpretation of the “The Lord, shall” or “May the Lord”.
As we are as Christians grafted into the tree of the root of Jesse, through Yeshua this blessing is not just for people of Hebrew descent but for all God's people. Judaic, Messianic, and Christian alike.
It is not a question of who enters heaven, it is not a question of being right or wrong, it is a question of who is walking in a covenant with God Almighty (El Shaddai).
So let us have this understanding then first that a blessing of the Lord is for all those that love, obey and follow Him.
So then for us, this question of The Lord shall, or May the Lord is pretty important.
When I moved my focus on the what of the blessing I first started to look at how the World was looking at this word, and searched on the internet dictionaries and came to the conclusion that Mr. Webster, who was a godly man, should have more to say then just;
blessing noun: Approval that allows or helps you to do something, or help and approval from God, or something that brings you happiness, or what about grace said at a meal.
So back to the old fashion paper version.
Then you suddenly will see the other words around it, and when Mike brought me the good ole paper version the first thing I saw was Blessed: enjoying happiness: specifically: enjoying the bliss of heaven.
When I read that indeed, my eyes were opened and I said yes, if somebody asks me what a blessing is, then that should be the answer.
If you are a blessing, you are sharing with them the bliss of heaven upon your life.
Do you know what I mean the bliss, the complete happiness, that is called JOY?
When we celebrate the birth of Jesus we do not sing happiness to the world, we sing JOY to the world.
Happiness is something we have from earthly entertainment and goods, but Joy that comes from the Ruach Ha'Kodesh, the Holy Spirit is the one who provides Joy.

Galatians 5:22-23 (CJB)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self-control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.

Isn't it interesting how we keep on coming back to this text each and every time we learn something new?
We can have happiness all our lives, but to have real happiness, which we call JOY we need to have it received from the Holy Spirit and carry this as part of the fruit.
When Jesus was born the Joy of heaven had come down on earth.
When God blessed in old or in new testament times the Joy of heaven was given, heaven is opened to show the
bliss of heaven.
When we then look at the scripture of the Birkat Kohanim in the book of Numbers we read.

Numbers 6:23-27 (CEB)
23 Tell Aaron and his sons: You will bless the Israelites as follows. Say to them:
24 The Lord bless you and protect you.
25 The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.
26 The Lord lift up his face to you and grant you peace.
27 They will place my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.

When we read verses 23 and 27 it reads;
Tell Aaron and his sons: You will bless the Israelites as follows. And then in verse 27, They will place my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.
By blessing them the priests in olden times and the pastors/ministers/leaders of the congregation they show them the bliss of heaven upon their lives.
All the goodness of God, the Grace, the Mercy, the Truth coming from God the Father, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
All these wonderful gifts of grace, Glory to God are being seen in God's Blessing.
The Lord bless you and protect you.
God's mercy and grace will be upon you and you are under His wings, you are under His protection.
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.
When the Lord shines His face upon you, you are walking in His light, you are being noticed and He extends His grace upon you, forgiving you for your wrongdoings and gives another chance. No, my friends, it is not just forgiving of the sins, It is more the words, what do you mean what sins.
It is like they never existed, that is what God's grace does to the sinner who walks in His light in full repentance of their sins.
The Lord lift up his face to you and grant you peace.
Wow you know what that means, the Lord will place His focus on you, He addresses you personally, His spirit is directed into you, the Holy Spirit, the Ruach Ha'Kodesh and He just not give you some time of rest, a respite, that what we call peace, no Glory to God HE will give you Shalom.
Shalom; the absence of;
war, the absence of illness, the absence of strive, the absence of nervousness, the absence of hate, resentment, bitterness, depression, melancholy, sadness, restlessness, torment, trauma, impatience, frustration, selfishness, cruelty, moral impurities, adulteries, sorceries, lying anger, temper strive, YES Halleluyah the absence of all demonic influence,
full circle, not just happiness He will give you JOY!!!!
That my dear friends are what a blessing is all about.
When the blessing of the Lord is upon you in such a way you are filled with joy, you possess happiness, you will be more than successful in your relationships, your leadership role, your job, your community, and your church.
Your children will want to have what you have, your spouse will love you with a love that was previously unknown to you and which goes way beyond what anybody could ever describe to you.
That is why a blessing is so important.
That is why we read so many times about blessings in the bible.
That is why we share the blessing of the Lord upon the congregation each and every Sunday.

Genesis 12:1-5 (CEB)
The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your land, your family, and your father’s household for the land that I will show you. 2 I will make of you a great nation and will bless you. I will make your name respected, and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
    those who curse you I will curse;
all the families of the earth
will be blessed because of you.” 4 Abram left just as the Lord told him, and Lot went with him. Now Abram was 75 years old when he left Haran. 5 Abram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all of their possessions, and those who became members of their household in Haran; and they set out for the land of Canaan.

This is a blessing that God gave to Avraham and at the same time included the clause for all other nations to be blessed.
It is a tex
t that is being thought of in most Pentecostal and charismatic churches.
Unfortunately a whole lot less in the liturgical churches.
Our nation and churches would do so much better as our country and its people would be blessing the sons of Avraham.
Last week we also spoke about, however briefly, Jacob and how he stole the blessing of his father from under the hands of Essau.
This was so important because the blessing also meant that the heritage was placed upon the shoulders of the person that was blessed.
The Father blessed the sons in order of birth.
The first son was to become the leader of the tribe and the father of the family after his passing.
For daughters it was different, yes you read about somebody saying as in the book of Ruth, God bless you my daughter, but that is, in the same way, is we would say God Bless you.
No, it was different.
A son needs to receive a blessing for life, a daughter however is already highly favored and is automatically under the blessing of the father.
When a girl gets married it is important to know that the man she marries is a godly man and that he has received a blessing in his life.
Because she will be for the rest of her life under the blessing of her husband, and no longer under the blessing of her father.
This is why it is so important for a daughter to have her boyfriend go to her father to have him receive the blessing of him over their relationship.
When a Christian, and godly father sees his daughter date a young man that is not a blessed Christian or as we also know it might happen, someone who knows how to fake it really well, but is not a Christian at heart. Then the Christian father will not give his blessing to that relationship.
No father wants his daughter to be out from under his blessing to be without a blessing.
This is however so, so, so old fashion, and is not understood by many people. It is however still the truth.
So then some of our youngsters might say it is just words.
My answer to this is; “What do you mean just words”.
In the beginning, God said, and it was. Just words?
Words, shape the world, they start wars, they make peace, they initiate relationships, they hurt, they love, they create and they break down.
There is no such thing as “just words”.
Words can as much bless as they can curse.
A curse is the penalty of disobedience, while a blessing is the result of earthly and/or divine favor.
On earth you can be called blessed, by God, you can be blessed.

Proverbs 18:21 (CEB)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.

Pastor Jack Hafort wrote in a Charisma Magazine in June 2012
Build friendships with those who understand our hearts as well as our lips—who truly perceive what we mean when we say the words we say, and relate to us by fully grasping the spirit of our spoken words.
Establish our marriage covenants with an oath, which according to God’s Word is to be an abiding commitment of truthfulness and fidelity and which, if broken, brings a frightening breakdown of the oath’s power.
Teach our children what is right and with those words seek to relay the very principles of God’s order so that His blessing will be advanced and not reversed as they grow from year to year.
In all these regards, life is transmitted, experienced, and multiplied when the tongue speaks its truth and love, while death is inevitable otherwise—through shrinking, withering, suffocating, or killing what should or might have been.
You Have the Power!
Dr. Jack Hayford
And that power of the word we see going throughout the whole bible.
In Genesis 9 Noah blesses Shem and Japheth for their respect.

Genesis 9:26-27 (KJV)
26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; Canaan shall be his servant.

The priest and king of Jerusalem, Melchizedek blesses Abraham for honoring God for His protection and for Abraham tithing to God instead of giving in to the king of Sodom and the kings of the neighboring cities to take all the riches for himself.
We talked already now twice about the blessing upon Jacob and notwithstanding the twist in this story, the blessing was not just seen as something God would hear and then enforce, but also something that was very determined and solid in a child's life.
Throughout all this, we can see that the principle of blessing the children by the words and hands of the parents is a great privilege that God has provided to the parents.
God has given the parents this privilege to speak a blessing upon the children and with that blessing, to advance life, health, growth, Joy, and self-confidence!!!!
We need as Dr. Hayford says “to steward this privilege as a dynamic aspect of raising our children and blessing them in every way we possibly can.”
Remember the look of your father or mother when you did something right when you were a kid. Do you remember that look of approval?
That is the first thing we need to learn and do, even when it seems so basic and ordinary, we need to make sure that our children, young or even the adults will know that they are loved, and cared for, that they know that they are valued and being looked over.
We can learn so much from God the Father on how to bless and in what way.
The Father puts an arm over the shoulder and embraces us when we are afraid or disappointed.

Deuteronomy 33:27 (CJB)
The God of old is a dwelling-place, with everlasting arms beneath.
He expelled the enemy before you and he said, ‘Destroy!’

Or what about a firm and steady hand to hold, or a pat on the back or shoulder.

Psalm 139:5 (CEB)
you surround me—front and back.  You put your hand on me.
It can also be a whisper in the ear that says, you are going into the right direction, or hey turn the other way, you are not going into the right direction.
Isaiah 30:21 (AMP)
And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

A warm tucking into bed when the darkness of the night is surrounding us.

Psalm 127:2-3 (CEB)
2 It is pointless that you get up early and stay up late, eating the bread of hard labor because God gives sleep to those he loves.
3 No doubt about it: children are a gift from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a divine reward.

When sitting on the father's knee being comforted or when receiving a kiss on the cheek in comfort we

Psalm 103:13 (AMP)
As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].
Are being held in tender love and being caressed, which is truly the meaning of the Hebrew word Rawcham, to tenderly love or caress.

As God the Father is THAT loving father to us and wants us to give his blessing, let us then pray this prayer with Dr. Hayford after which we as parents will stand up, lay our hands upon our children and bless them.

“Father, I am astounded that You would confer upon me the overwhelming privilege of being Your representative in both announcing and pronouncing Your blessing upon a child. As I receive this truth, I make this declaration:
“‘You are my God, and it is Your almighty throne I honor in this action of blessing children.
“‘I denounce any notion that my words are the source of the power in this blessing, but I also deny any idea that suggests my words are unimportant in this dramatic transaction.
“‘The fact that You make me Your middle person, reaching to heaven—to Your throne and then to a child, who is Your created wonder and given to me to love and serve—is an awesome wonder in my sight.’
“And so I ask You to help me minister blessings always with the wisdom, faith and gentle grace that will cause the children in my life to know by that blessing how beloved they are by You and by me.
Amen.”

Lyrics by 8th Day Miracles approaching

Wishes unspoken desires unknown
A child cries in the darkness of her own
She's wishing, she hoping, she dreaming of a time
and just to feel a tear of joy
So take this message from me as your miracle is born,
and the answer to your prayers shines tonight
May the heavens swing open, Let all your heart desires Rain down on you - Rain down on you
I lift my hands above your head Your miracles approaching Your tearful eye never dry
Yet behold the sunshine and soon
Dancing to happy news
Early to bed is early to rise
You've seen bad now your waiting for your prize
But you broke on you shattered Life trembled below
and I know how you feel so alone
So take this blessing from me as your miracle is born
and the answer to your prayers shines tonight
I lift my hands above your head Your miracles approaching Your tearful eye never dry
Yet behold the sunshine and soon
We will be dancing to happy news
Yivorechecha Hashem veyismerekha
Yaer Hashem panav elekha
Veyechuneka yissa
Hashem panav elekha veyasem lekha shalom

I lift my hands above your head Your miracles approaching Your tearful eye never dry
Yet behold the sunshine and soon
and soon we all be dancing to happy news
Receive the blessing of the Lord and Soon,
And Yes Real soon, we all be dancing to happy news.

Luke 22:31-34 (TLV)
31“Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has demanded to
sift you all like wheat.
32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith
will not fail. And when you have turned back,
strengthen your brothers.”
33But Simon said to Him, “Master, I am ready to go
with You even to prison and to death!”
34But Yeshua said, “I tell you, Peter, a rooster will
not crow today until you have denied three times
that you know Me.”

Yesterday was the ending of an awful week.
Every time when we think things can't get worse guess
what happens it will.
Yesterday it happened, I was so angry, I was so upset, I
was so down, Yes I will call it, I was attacked by that
a horrible satanic sword called depression.
I felt depressed, in the pits, and didn't see a way out.
I called Minister Reed to tell her that I would quit the
ministry, that it was over and that from now on I would
go through life maybe visiting church now and then, but
would go through life like that old grumpy Cowboy that
you better not tick off.
Thank God, she didn't answer the phone.
I also called my dear friend Dr. Jeffery Davidson,
because he needs to know, he is my father in the
ministry.
Thank God, he didn't answer his phone either.
I was attacked in my faith, I was attacked in my
freedom of choice, I was attacked on my only day off.
But the worst thing, you know maybe I take a lot of
pride in the work that I do, if it is the ministry, teaching,
or the computer work, the information technology I
work in.
When I do work, I want to work for my boss as I work
for Jesus himself, and nobody will tell me I do not do
enough.
When working you always need to give the best you
can be the best you can outdo, the other because you
are better.
You are a child of God, and to Him, you only give the
best you have.
You don't know something, you study it so hard that
you know more about it than another, you become a
specialist in your field.
Not because you are so good, or that you are the best,
NO, but because you want to give the best to the
highest.
So then, when somebody attacks me on my quality of
work, or treats me like a nincompoop, then yes, I get a
little ticked.
OK, when you have an honest philosophical discussion
on a topic, that is different, that is good, that is how you
sharpen your sword, your wits.
But come on, now to ask you if you tried this or that
and if you may be plugged it in, or maybe it needs
rebooted, or maybe the screen is not on, did you check
the battery.
It is almost like this.
You have had and raised 9 children, been awake, when
they were sick and then you are asked while you look at
another poopy diaper.
Hmm, do you smell that, I think you might want to
check if the baby spoiled its diaper.
Do you think you are able to change it, do you know
how do that, are you qualified enough for it.
Yeah you might laugh now about it, but when you have
been up for the last three nights changing those nasty
ones because your little one is sick, then you don't think
that this question is a laughing matter.
It is insulting, it is ridiculous, or let's call it just plain
stupid and degrading to you as a parent and a human
being.
You are already running on your reserves and then they
question your ability to take care of your child.
Oh yes, the mamma bear is now wearing lipstick and
ready for war!!!!
OK, that is a little bit how I felt, papa bear, and on the
attack.
Minister Reed, couldn't have talked me out of it.
Jeff, Dr. Davidson, sorry my friend, you could not have
talked me out of it.
Thank God, they didn't answer the phone.
My wife, bless her heart, she came in, let me cry, and
then got out of the way real fast, and just let me vent.
Have you been under a lot of attacks lately, spiritual,
work, health, oh yes this message is definitely for you.
Yes, I talked to my friend later during the evening, and as
always even when so many miles apart the Holy Spirit
traversed the phone line and touched hearts.
Today's topic is really a result of that conversation and
something he said about the sun shining, even on a
cloudy or rainy day.
We might not see it, but when we fly above those
clouds in our airplane, or indeed carried under or on the
protection of the Eagle Wings we will again see it
and be Ministered to by His Charis, His Ruach
Ha'Kodesh, His Spirit.
Wow did I just weave Eagle Wings Charismatic
Ministries in it.
Hallelujah.
Yes, the sun is shining, it is however our clouds or the
clouds that are surrounding us that are preventing us
from seeing this light.
No, it didn't dim, something is just blocking it
temporarily.
We just read it earlier.
Jesus said to Peter in verses 31 and 32 of Luke 22

31“Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has demanded to
sift you all like wheat.
32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith
will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

What is it that is said here, when you have turned back,
strengthen your brothers?
It might not be something we want to hear, but when
we are under such an attack that the only thing we can
see is the doom and gloom, then indeed we are not
standing in the light of God.
As we have discussed many a time in the last couple of
weeks, the Shekinah Glory of God is so great that we
are not able to look Him in the face, we just like Moshe
will be standing in the cleft of the rock and see the back
of Him.
Thus then with such brilliance and light, there will be
NO shadow, there will be no darkness, there will be No
negativity, No anger, and also NO DOUBT in His
presence.
When we are like that WE ARE NOT in his presence
but under the dark shadow, the dark cover of the attack
of satan.
Thus then when we are back from this survival mission
we are strengthened and have the knowledge of another
the defeat of satan.
On January 25 we also talked about being attacked but
then it was from a whole different perspective.
When we are fighting in God's Kingdom we are
fighting against Satan, and he will put up everything
that he can to put his shroud of darkness upon you.
Please pray with me;

Matthew 6:9-13 (TLV)
9b Our Father in heaven, sanctified be Your name.
10Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven
our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation but deliver us
from the evil one.’
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory
forever and ever, Amen.

►Let us all pray this together, In English, or Hebrew,
or Dutch, or French, or German, it doesn't matter, as
long as we pray together.

Avinu shebashamayim, yitkadesh shimkha.
Tavo malkhutekha ye’aseh r’tzonekha ba’aretz ka’asher
na’asah vashamayim.
Ten-lanu haiym lechem chukeinu.
u’selach-lanu et-ashmateinu ka’asher solechim anachnu
la’asher ashmu lanu.
ve’al-tevieinu lidei massah, ki im-hatsileinu min-hara.
Ki lekha ha-mamlakha ve-hagevurah veha-tiferet
l’olemei ’olamim. Amen.

Remember this from that January message on what the
the true meaning of temptation might be;
So then how many truly knew the meaning of the word
temptation.
Isn't it that we should understand and know what we
read in God's word.
As we would also pray
And lead me not into something that causes a strong urge
or desire to have or do something, and especially
something that is bad, wrong, or unwise. But set me free
from that which is evil, because yours my God is the
Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever and
ever.
►Hmm, I've never prayed it that way before.
Then would you call a severe neck or back injury, head-
aches, cancer, the death of loved ones, or amputations
due to diabetes-myelitis something that you desire to
have?
Absolutely NOT!!!
Again from The Living Tree version
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TLV)
13 No temptation has taken hold of you except what
is common to mankind. But God is faithful—He will
not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can
handle. But with the temptation He will also
provide a way of escape, so you will be able to endure it.

God can be trusted that the temptation that people
normally experience will not bring you down without
Him giving you a way to deal with it, or get through it,
or concur with it.  It does nowhere in this part of scripture say that the
temptation comes from God.
It does say real clear that along with the temptation that
came your way, God will provide a way out.
Temptations, feeling attacked, or can I say it to be out
of control and being under the influence of satan's evil
ways, being overwhelmed can happen to anyone and
Everyone also Jesus was under attack when He was in
the desert after the baptism in the Jordan.
Also the well educated and highly influential apostle
Paul was suffering from these attacks and when we read
In the second letter of Corinthians, we can see it clearly.
OK, then Let's read this one more time from the
January 25 message.
In the second letter to the Corinthians Paul shows us that
also, he and his travel companions were not immune to
the things of life that come our way.

2 Corinthians 1:7-9 (AMP)(CEB)(CJB)
7 And our hope for you [our joyful and
confident expectation of good for you] is ever
unwavering (assured and unshaken); for we
know that just as you share and are partners in
[our] sufferings and calamities, you also share
and are partners in [our] comfort (consolation
and encouragement). (amp)
8 Brothers and sisters, we don’t want you to be
unaware of the troubles that we went through in
Asia. We were weighed down with a load of
the suffering that was so far beyond our strength
that we were afraid we might not survive. (ceb)
9 In our hearts we felt we were under the sentence of
death. However, this was to get us to rely upon
ourselves but on God, who raises the dead! (cjb)

Yes, even Paul thought that he would surely die,
that whatever happened to them would cause him
his life. There was so much suffering that it was as the CEB
translation tells us “beyond our strength”.
I know for sure that this goes for all of us as we are
gathered here, we all have or are enduring a time that is
clearly beyond our strength.
But Paul then also gives the answer in verse 9, relying on
those cases on God and His strength through bring us
through the situations of life.
I think it is in situations like this that we need to hear the
words of the letter to the Philippians, not as an
admonishment but as an encouragement.
Yes, the tone in which we deliver words is more then
important, how many times have we said something in
the last couple of weeks or in the last year (we are still in
January so referring to 2014 is ok) that were intended in
a completely different way than that they were received.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.

The apostle Paul, all the other Apostles, and Disciples
have been under attack, Jesus has been under attack,
and has been under temptation.
Satan told him, jump off the roof of this temple on
which we are standing and I know that the angels will
catch you, I will give you the kingdoms of the earth.
A rather big temptation wasn't it.
We in our situations are also always looking for bigger
and better and we might just have taken satan up on that
offer.
With all of this, we have seen that even when we do not
see it, God always provides a way of receiving help in
our dark situations.
We might not see the light of the world, Yeshua at that
a certain moment in our lives.
But it is as that cloud cover that Dr. Davidson spoke
about, we need to fly through it and then again we bathe
in the full glory of the Light of the World, Yeshua.
So why is this happening to me, to you, to those hard
working saints of God, speaking, preaching, living the
unadulterated word of God the father.
It is because God's word is true, it is the truth, as God is
truth.
The watered-down word of God is not God's word, it is
the word of the world, and as we know who is roaming
and controlling this world, we can say this watered
down word of God is not His but satans.
Satan is not going to attack those that do not do
anything in God's kingdom, because those are not living
according to His word.
His word says to go out and speak the word, live the
word, and bring people to Christ.
This is what we call great commissioning.
You might sit in church every Wednesday evening and
every Sunday and still the only thing that you are is a
very, very, very small heating element in winter,
nothing more than a seat warmer.
Yeah you might even be in the choir, or you know what
be in the pulpit.
But if you do not live the life speak the words and be a
laborer in the kingdom you are nothing else than that
very, very, very small heating element.
Why would satan be bothered by you, why would he
attack you, you are not a threat to his kingdom, you
don't set the world on fire with the Holy Spirit, you can
hardly get your seat warm in winter.
Oh, we can hear them say, Oh that person is such a good
person, and look under what kind of attack he or she
is.
►Why do bad things happen to good people?
The answer we now know is that they are a danger to
the kingdom of satan.
But God had forgotten them, No, no, no, no He didn't.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (TLV)
13 No temptation has taken hold of you except what
is common to mankind. But God is faithful—He will
not allows you to be tempted beyond what you can
handle. But with the temptation, He will also
provide a way of escape, so you will be able to
endure it.
God has provided a way of escape.
For me, it was my phone call yesterday evening after
which my anger, my doubt, my hatred dissipated and
the love for ministry, the fire of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh,
the Holy Spirit was burning high again.
And when I went to bed, the battle was raging still.
Thunder and lightning were striking and I could not be
able to get to sleep.
Oh but I need my eight hours of beauty sleep and this
a wonderful light show of nature keeping me awake and I
will not be able to do my Sunday work.
Yeah wrong, satan, you will not win, the six hours of
rest that I did get was enough and peace was over my
body, because the Lord had provided me a way out.
He took over the battle, God fought satan on my behalf.
In the book of Chronicles we read;
Chronicles 20:15 (TLV)
15 and he said: "Listen all Judah and inhabitants of
Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat. Thus ADONAI
says to you, 'Do not be afraid or be dismayed
because of this great multitude, for the battle is not
yours, but God's.

Satan will win when he just fights me, but scripture
tells me that I am a mighty warrior, we follow the Lord,
our banner Yehovah Nissi.
Hmm, how can I envision that?
I don't have to do that, J.R.R. Tolkien already did this
and we can see it in the movie the Lord of the Rings.
When the battle of Helms Deep is taking place, those
that are defending the fortification had almost given up,
they had called for help, but the bright morning day of
deliverance had not yet arrived.
Then from the top of the hill, there is Gandalf the white,
and his staff and he lights up blinding the
overwhelmingly great forces of evil, the orcs, and those
that are behind him, the thousands and thousands
follow him down the hill and destroy evil.
This day will be coming again, no not with Gandalf, that
is just a story character, but Tolkien used the bible as
his source of inspiration for his stories and with that the
word has been spread even when sometimes people
didn't even know it.
But Jesus is coming again, riding on a white horse and
out of His mouth will come a flaming sword, the word
of God.
The book of revelation is very revealing about this all,
and we will be with him and receiving the many
blessings.
Deuteronomy 28:12-13 (CEB)
12 The Lord will open up for you his own well-
stocked storehouse, the heavens, providing your
land with rain at just the right time and blessing all
your work. You will lend to many nations, but you
won’t have any need to borrow. 13 The Lord will
make you the head of things, not the tail; you will
be at the top of things, not the bottom, as long as
you obey the Lord your God’s commandments that
I’m commanding you right now, by carefully doing
them

I am the head and not the tail, for God I am His child
and I come first, not last.
Sometimes we need a little push.
Sometimes we need a helping hand up when we are
down.
Sometimes we need a little surgery, on our attitudes or
actions.
Sometimes we just need to be re-directed to go up.
Sometimes we are so lost and in addition that we need
to be pushed just a little deeper, so that instead of
peering down into the dark tunnel we can only lookup
and see a ray of sunshine through the clouds and we
know, the sun is shining.
Yeshua, Jesus will bring you out of the darkness into
the light, He said.
John 8:12 (TLV)
12 Yeshua spoke to them again, saying, "I am the
light of the world. The one who follows Me will no
longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of
life."

God has fought the battle, He has taken us out of our
darkness and He will lift us above the clouds, just as He
has done before, He will do this again.
God never changes, He is the same, Yesterday, Today,
and Forever.
>Exodus 19:4-5 (TLV
4 You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and
how I carried you on eagle's wings and brought you
to Myself.
5 Now then, if you listen closely to My voice, and
keep My covenant, then you will be My own
treasure from among all people, for all the earth, is
Mine.
The Lord lifts us up and brings us into the light of the
world Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.
Amen !!

Attitude 3

It has been already two weeks ago that my wife and I left on an, as she tells me a well deserved vacation.
However, yes there is always an however with me.
I didn't really feel so good about it leaving you all with a prerecorded message and in the hands of technology alone.
Oh, but does EWCMI does not have other ministers that are able to take over.
Yes, but unfortunately, the minister was also occupied in different ways.
So this week we will continue.
On the Radio we were able to listen to the message Attitude part 02 during our time of prayer and Sunday-school, so then now we are continuing with part 03
During the first week we talked about what it is, our attitude, and what is our attitude towards God and His word.
God's word being His declaration of our dependence on Him.
As Christians we have said, “Lord I surrender All, I give my life to you” and we say, “Lord, make me, break me, mold me, shape me” and we say, “Yes, Lord, Yes, Yes, Yes, I want to do what you want me to do”.
All sentences and paraphrases of songs you and I have sung.
With this knowledge of our commitment to God's word, with this declaration of dependence we read as a red thread throughout this first message and the series the word of

Attitude 2

We live in very interesting days, or maybe do I need to say very scary days.
And now I just let you sit there with this single statement.
Last week I started to talk to you about attitude and how it is our attitude towards following instructions that give us blessings or penalties (missing out on the blessings).
Or with more churchy types words, how following God's commandments will give us blessings or curses.
And yes we already heard the cries coming up but now we all live under the grace that Jesus provided.
Yes, we are under grace, but for this series, we place that specific question on the back burner for a little bit, we will get to that point on a later day.
If we want to have discourse on a topic we do need to know our backgrounds before we can have an edifying conversation on this topic.
We sing it so often in the church, that song that is woven through the messages the last couple of weeks.
Trust and Obey,

“ Trust and Obey, because there is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey. “

Oh and it is nothing new of course, this is an old song.
There are more songs like this.

I surrender all, All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

Attitude Part 01

Last week our message ended with the words “Trust and Obey because there is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey.”
Trust and Obey.
You know, I need to say this, I've been so busy the last couple of weeks that I've not been really keeping up with the news.
Now this morning when opening up the paper and the websites I was shocked to see all the news about the riots, yes I knew about that already, and the charging of six police officers in the case of the death of Freddie Gray.
The Journalist clearly showed herself as not a journalist at all, but as an opinion writer.
Focused on the rioters as protesters and how black and white work together.
Then turned to the police and stated that the young man did not die, but used the word murdered and stated that those charged were 3 white and 3 black officers.
It is for me more than a coincidence that the offers were indeed 3 whites and 3 blacks.
The peace returned for now, but at what price, getting what you want by the use of destruction, rioting, civil disobedience to authority and all that behind masks and bandannas is in my opinion straight how it shows, something illegal.

Don't you worry now,
“Killing time is still Murdering Opportunities.”
Yeah “Don't Worry!”

Don't worry about a thing now God is in control!
Hmm some conflict I see in this, indeed it is true, God is in control for those that trust in Him, rely on Him for guidance and directions. But that other thing does make me worry.
A person in love will not just let a time go by to speak about the person, the job, or the situation they love.
A Christian so in love with the Lord, will take each and every opportunity to speak about the one that saved their life, and then killing time is in opposite of this,
because a Christian will take every opportunity to speak about this great love and not just kill some time.
OK, but isn't that something that just happens so many times.
Personally I hope that whenever it happens it will be pointed out to me. Because Killing time is murdering opportunities.
I'm in love with the Lord, I want to know more and more about Him, want to know more and more about His plan for my life.

Sermon: Someone Needs To Pay (Walmart Revisited)

Someone needs to pay

Somebody is surely paying for it.

Yes indeed, I do not know if you have been able to get the message last week, but in case you did not, you will have this wonderful opportunity to still get the main lines of it in this message walmart revisited.

So what about the weather?
We had some winter, didn't we? You know in the garden of Eden it was just perfect.
The morning mist watered all that needed to be watered, peace was all over and streams, brooks, rivers took care of everything else.
But then it happened mankind was kicked out due to something stupid. Oh yes, Eve and Adam, they paid attention to God, but then their attention was diverted by something different and satan had his hook in them. Whispering sweet words of distraction and diffusion.

So our last winter caught a lot of people inside and with elevated heating bills, we also saw our quality of life drop and with that thefts go up, gas prices go up, and so forth and so forth. But you know somebody must pay for that what is/was stolen if it is the lost lives in the garden of Eden or the stolen, warm slippers at Walmart, some-one has to pay.

Some time ago I read the most horrific little research that you can find.
Two researchers linked crime rates to heaven OR hell. Research published by the Public Library of Science.
Believing if you are on a “highway to hell” could impact whether or not if you commit a crime.

A study published in the scientific journal PLoS One by University of Oregon’s Azim Shariff and University of Kansas’s Mijke Rhemtulla.
It finds that people who believe in hell are less likely to commit a crime while people who believe in heaven more likely are to get in trouble with the law.
The two professors collected data for belief in hell, heaven, and God from the World and European Values Surveys that were conducted between 1981 until 2007 with 143,197 participants based in 67 countries.
They compared the data to the mean standardized crime rate in those countries based on homicides, robberies, rapes, kidnappings, assaults, thefts, auto thefts, drug crimes, burglaries, and human trafficking.

“[R]ates of belief in heaven and hell had significant, unique, and opposing effects on crime rates,” Shariff and Rhemtulla found in the study.
“Belief in hell predicted lower crime rates … whereas belief in heaven predicted higher crime rates.”

Then suddenly a couple of statements are made.
